Ghana international, Ibrahim Osman has made his intentions clear of hitting the ground running at new club, AJ Auxerre.
Osman joined the Ligue 1 side on a season’s long loan from English Premier League outfit, Brighton and Hove Albion. Reacting to his move, Ibrahim Osman, shared his excitement while stating that he cannot wait to get started at his new club.
“Happy to be here. Can’t wait to get started. See you soon,” Ibrahim said in a video shared by AJ Auxerre on the club’s X page.
The 20-year-old, who joined Brighton from Danish side Nordsjaelland, has been given the number 23 jersey ahead of the 2025/26 football season. The French club will have the option of signing the forward on a permanent deal at the end of the loan spell.
A statement from the club read: “AJA is pleased to announce the arrival of Ibrahim Osman! The 20-year-old attacking midfielder has joined Premier League club Brighton on loan (with an option to buy) for one season and will wear shirt number 23.
“A two-time Ghanaian international, Ibrahim already possesses, despite his young age, top-level experience, both for club and country. This is one of the many qualities, in addition to his speed and ability to eliminate, that he brings to our squad. Ibrahim, welcome to AJA,” AJ Auxerre announced in an official statement.
Ibrahim Osman has been capped two times by Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars and he will look to keep his form to earn a possible call up for the next FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Mali in September.
He spent last season on loan at Dutch top flight club Feyenoord where he gathered 22 league matches, scoring three goals and providing three assists.
