As revealed by Ablam Gnamesso of Pan-Africa Football, for months now Mauritanian international and TP Mazembe defender Ibrahima Keita has been in advanced discussions to sign for Tunisian champions Espérance Sportive de Tunis and this has now been confirmed.
Espérance Sportive de Tunis announced the official signing of Keita for two years from Mazembe on Tuesday. Keita, a 23-year-old right-back, made his international debut for Mauritania in March 2022.
Keita is a highly regarded player in African football, displaying strong attacking abilities to go along with acclaimed performances with regard to his defensive duties. He played all four games for Mauritania at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations and contributed one goal and two assists for TP Mazembe in the CAF Champions League over the past two seasons.
