Guinea national team midfielder Ilaix Moriba popped up with an important equalizer during Celta Vigo’s 3-2 comeback win at Valencia on Sunday.
Valencia, who have struggled to glitter in the current La Liga campaign, shot ahead after just twelve minutes of action played at the Mestalla Stadium.
In a keenly contested fixture, Guido Rodriguez smashed home inside the box after a poor defensive clearance by the Celta defence.
The visitors turned the heat on Valencia after halftime, with Moriba capitalizing on a rebound to score his first goal of the season in the 56th minute.
After a brilliant piece of display, substitute Fernando Lopez scooped the second goal into the roof of the goal past Valencia keeper Stole Dimitrievski.
The visitors followed the second goal up with a well worked out move in the dying embers of the game. Moriba teed off Williot Swedberg who placed a low one behind Stole Dimitrievski in the 81st minute.
Valencia fought tooth and nail but could only manage a second consolation in added time from the effort of Guido Rodriguez, who sliced in Umar Sadiq’s assist in the penalty area.
