Ilaix Moriba returns as Paulo Duarte name Guinea squad

Guinea head coach Paulo Jorge Rebelio Duarte has called up a squad of 25 players for their two international friendly matches this month.

The Syli National will play two friendly matches against West Africa brothers Togo and Benin on March 27 and 31 respectively in Rabat and Casablanca, during the next FIFA international window.

The squad has a number of players making a return to the national team after several years of absence with key among them being central midfielder Ilaix Moriba.

The Celta Vigo enforcer has been called up into the national team for the first time since September 2024 as well as Clermont Foot’s Saidou Sow who earned an invite for the first time since November 2024.

Other notable returnees to the line up ahead of the international friendlies include Ousmane Camara of Loubha who was last invited in October 2025 while Issiaga Sylla of Asteras last wore the team jersey in October 2025 with Mory Konaté of KV Mechelen joining the team for the first time October 2025.

One of the entrants are Mansour Camara of Al-Kholood in Saudi Arabia, Mohamed Kaba of Nantes and Abdoulaye Camara of Vejle.

The national team will begin its training camp on Sunday, March 22, 2026, in Rabat, Morocco.
