Senegal international Iliman Ndiaye has been declared fit and available to start for Everton when they host Arsenal in a Premier League fixture at Goodison Park on Saturday.
Ndiaye made his return from a knee injury as a 69th-minute substitute against Liverpool and, speaking in Friday’s pre-match press conference, Blues boss David Moyes said that the Lion of Teranga is “getting closer” to making a start while still “lacking real match fitness”.
“[Ndiaye and McNeil] are both back in training. Ili has been back in training, obviously, and we got him some minutes the other night. Look, he’s getting closer, it’s just that he’s probably lacking real match fitness – but he’s back in the frame and we’re considering him,” said Moyes as quoted by Everton website.
“Dwight is back in training. He’s been back in and had three or four days now on the grass so he’s getting closer and if we can get him involved we will do.”
So far this season, the 25-year-old has managed 25 matches in the Premier League, scored six goals for the Toffees but is yet to provide an assist.
