Inter Milan pushes for Ademola Lookman with new €50M offer

Serie A giants, Inter Milan, are reportedly preparing a new and likely final offer for the Nigerian and Atlanta forward Ademola Lookman.

According to sources, including reports from Corriere di Bergamo, Inter’s latest proposal is said to be around €50 million. The Italian side believes this figure is a more than fair valuation for the in-form Nigerian forward.

Inter Milan previously submitted a formal bid of €45 million—€42 million upfront with €3 million in performance-based bonuses—two weeks ago, but Atalanta rejected the offer, hoping for a higher valuation.

Inter’s renewed push for Lookman comes as they face competition from other clubs like Napoli and possibly Arsenal.

However, the Nigerian forward has reportedly already agreed to personal terms with Inter and made it clear that the San Siro is his preferred destination.

Inter Milan is awaiting a sign from Atalanta on whether their new offer will meet the club’s expectations, as Atalanta has not yet publicly stated their valuation of the player.

However, Lookman has reportedly gone “AWOL,” refusing to train with Atalanta and pushing for the move. He is said to be training alone in England while his agents work to finalize the transfer.

The forward’s stance is reportedly due to a perceived promise from Atalanta to let him leave for a suitable offer, which he believes Inter’s bid represents.

Meanwhile, Atalanta’s CEO, Luca Percassi, has stated that any agreement was for a “top” club outside of Italy, not a direct Serie A rival. Inter Milan’s new offer is expected to meet Atalanta’s asking price of €50 million.
