Friday was the first busy day for African national teams in the June FIFA window and while some of the continent's top sides were in action in Europe, there were several all-African clashes that took place in Morocco.

First, here are more detailed reports on the friendlies involving African nations around the world from Friday:

But in Morocco, there were victories for Cameroon, Niger, Burundi, Burkina Faso and Central African Republic. In Marrakech, Cameroon cruised to a routine 3-0 victory over Uganda.

Set pieces were the downfall of the Cranes with Flavien Boyomo and Jean Batoum scoring their first goals for the Indomitable Lions from headers off corner kicks. Forward Patrick Soko also scored his first national team goal from an assist by out of contract captain Vincent Aboubakar.

In Casablanca, attendees were treated to an enjoyable spectacle between Niger and Gabon that ended 4-3 in favor of the Menas of Niger. Star players Youssouf Oumarou and Oumar Sako scored while striker Daniel Sosah scored twice for Niger. Jim Allevinah, Andre Biyogho Poko and Guelor Kanga provided the goals for Gabon's Panthers.

Close by in Mohammedia, Burkina Faso bounced back from a 0-2 defeat to Tunisia a few days earlier to defeat Zimbabwe by the same score. New Wydad AC signing Stephane Aziz Ki opened the scoring in the 22nd minute before Cyriaque Irie doubled the lead with his first goal for the Stallions just before the half hour mark.

One of the highlights of the day was in Burundi's 1-0 victory over Guinea-Bissau played at the Stade Berrechid in Casablanca. The Swallows executed an excellent team movement from the defense to the attack, breaking down the Bissau-Guinean defense before Bienvenue Kanakimana finished from a cross for the only goal of the match.

Also in Casablanca, Central African Republic came from behind to defeat Mauritania. Hemeya Tanjy opened the scoring for Mauritania from the penalty spot but Gabriel Oualengbe equalized before halftime and Paul Guinari won it in the final moments of second half stoppage time for Les Fauves.

Finally, early on Friday it was Gambia who defeated Equatorial Guinea by a 2-1 score courtesy of a brace from Adama Sidibeh in Marrakech. The Scorpions will face Uganda next on while Equatorial Guinea take on Cameroon with both matches also taking place in Morocco on Monday.
