Heart of Lions deputy coach Daniel Nii Adjei says it will be his dream to help the club win the Ghana Premier League and play in continental football next season.

Heart of Lions led the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League table with 30 points prior to their last game of the first half of the season but unluckily dropped all three points at home to Nations FC in a 1-0 defeat.

Nii Adjei, who has won the CAF Champions League and the Confederation Cup as a player with Congolese club TP Mazembe, is relishing a replica of such a feat with the Ghana side as coach.

“It will be a good feeling because I have played before and if I have got the chance to coach and also be at that level, I think it will be a good thing for me,” Daniel Nii Adjei told Radio Gold Sports.

“I think most of the players have also not tasted Africa (continental competition) before so it will be a very amazing thing for us if by God’s grace we are able to win the league and then go to Africa,” he said in comments to Radio Gold Sports.

Heart of Lions dropped to 4th on the league table with 30 points following their loss in the last game to Nations. They trail third place Asante Kotoko by one point with Nations fc seated second on 32 points and Gold Stars leading the log on 33 points.

They will begin the second half of the season with a home game against two time Ghana champions, Aduana Stars at the Kpando Sports Stadium on Sunday, January 26.
