Ivan Ahimbisibwe: “The Hunter” ready for new challenge as KCCA FC’s first signing

Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) unveiled prolific forward Ivan Ahimbisibwe as their first signing of the transfer window from URA FC.

The announcement was made on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, through the club’s official social media platforms, ending days of speculation surrounding the striker’s next destination.

“Hello Citizens! My name is Ivan Ahimbisibwe, the Hunter, and I can’t wait to get started,” declared the confident goal poacher in his unveiling message.

Ahimbisibwe arrives at the club with high hopes from the club management as the club has for a long time been actively searching for a proven goal scorer, and they now believe they’ve found the answer in the 2024/25 season’s second-highest scorer.

The lethal forward netted 16 goals in the most recent StarTimes Uganda Premier League season while at URA FC, finishing just three behind golden boot winner Allan Okello.

His career path has seen him rise through the ranks, beginning at Synergy FC before moving to Nyamityobora FC. He then enjoyed a solid stint at UPDF FC before sealing a move to URA FC, where he continued his upward trajectory.

Ahimbisibwe will now reunite with head coach Brian Ssenyondo, a familiar figure who previously coached him at both Synergy and UPDF. The pair’s reunion at KCCA could reignite the form that earned him the “Hunter” nickname and further sharpen the club’s attacking edge ahead of the new season.
