Ivorian winger Amad Diallo is close to a return to full training with Manchester United after a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to an injury, the Red Devils boss Ruben Amorim has confirmed.
The United manager provided an update on Amad ahead of the team’s Premier League clash against Bournemouth FC on Sunday, April 27, 2025.
"Amad is near, Matta is near, but the rest is at the same pace. Ayden [Heaven] is not ready, so I think that is it,” Amorim told United media.
The 22-year-old Ivorian winger has been out of action since February 2025, when he suffered an injury in training ahead of a Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur.
Meanwhile, United have suffered a big blow with versatile defender Diogo Dalot ruled out with a calf injury.
"Diogo is out. We don't know long he is going to be out. But he is out for these games, we will see until the end," Amorim added.
United are also set to welcome back from injury players such as Dutch defender Matthijs de Ligt while centre-back Lisandro Martinez and striker Joshua Zirkzee are out for the season.
Smarting from last week’s 1-0 loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers, United hope to make amends for the 3-0 loss they suffered to the Cherries at Old Trafford last December.
