Africans Abroad: Jeremie Boga, Akor Adams on score sheet

A number of African stars showcased their talent with several of them finding their scoring boots for their various clubs.

In the La Liga, Nigeria striker Akor Adams scored from the penalty spot as Sevilla dispatched Atletico Madrid 2-1 at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium on Saturday.

Adams has now scored 8 goals in a whopping 26 league matches for Sevilla this season.

In the German Bundesliga, Ivory Coast forward, Yan Diomande grabbed the only as RB Leipzig 1-0 win over Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday.

Diomande, 19, increased his season’s goal scoring tally to 11 goals from 28 league appearances this season.

Another Ivory Coast forward Jeremie Boga enjoyed full time and increased his season’s tally to four goals in nine matches when his solitary goal earned Juventus a 1-0 win at Atalanta.

Africa Cup of Nations finalists, Ismael Saibari registered a goal as run-away winners, PSV Eindhoven pegged back Sparta Rotterdam 2-0 at their own backyard in the Dutch Eredivisie.

Saibari, 25, has now scored 15 league goals from 26 matches as PSV sir comfortably on top with 74 points from 30 games.

The 23-year-old who is being linked to a move to Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and Olympique Marseille netted his 10th goal of the season in Fenerbahce’s 4-0 victory at Kayserispor.
