Jocelin Ta Bi looked composed after coming on and provided number of moments that got the Sunderland fans off their seats with his pace and trickery. Sunderland went on to win the fixture 1-0 courtesy of a first-half penalty from Senegal star Habib Diarra.
“It felt good. I was excited to play my first game,” he told Sunderland website. “It was good for me and it was good for the team because we won.
“I missed the goal for one chance but it’s okay. Those are things for me to work on. The fans are very passionate. The supporters are very good. We felt the love from them.
After joining the club in a permanent move in the January transfer window, the winger had to work through a period of rehabilitation from injury.
“I will put the shirt in my apartment. I will frame it and put it on the wall,” he concluded.
The 20-year-old moved to the Stadium of Light for an undisclosed fee from the five-time Israeli champions Maccabi Netanya, agreeing a four-and-a-half-year contract with a Club option of a further year.
