Ghana striker Jonathan Sowah scored his first goal for Simba SC in a club friendly on Monday.
The Tanzania powerhouse are currently in Ismailia, Egypt to hold their pre-season ahead of next season’s domestic and continental campaign.
Sowah, who joined Simba from Singida Black Stars, was introduced in the second half of the action, scoring the second goal and playing 45 minutes of the game as they won 2-0. Sowah, 26, joined Singida Black Stars from Libyan outfit Al Nasr midway last season, scoring an impressive 13 goals from 13 league matches.
His performance caught the eyes of Simba who snapped him up to bolster their squad for next season’s football campaign.
Simba coach Fadlu Davids will use the crucial period to strengthen the squad ahead of a demanding season that includes the CAF Champions League, the Mainland Premier League, and local competitions such as the Federation Cup and Community Shield.
