Jonathan Sowah nets second pre-season goal in Simba defeat

Jonathan Sowah scored his second goal for Simba SC in their second pre-season game against Egyptian side, ENPPI Sporting Club, on Sunday.

Sowah played 45 minutes and registered a goal as Simba suffered a 4-3 loss on Sunday – making it two goals in two matches.

Sowah, who joined Simba from Singida Black Stars, scored his first pre-season goal in their 2-0 win over Carabat last week.

The 26-year-old joined Singida Black Stars from Libyan outfit Al Nasr midway last season, scoring an impressive 13 goals from 13 league matches. His performance caught the eyes of Simba who snapped him up to bolster their squad for next season’s football campaign.

The Tanzanian powerhouse are in Egypt for their pre-season ahead of the 2025/26 domestic and continental campaign.

Simba coach Fadlu Davids will use the crucial period to strengthen the squad ahead of a demanding season that includes the CAF Champions League, the Mainland Premier League, and local competitions such as the Federation Cup and Community Shield.
