Jordan Ayew scores in Leicester City’s draw to Middlesbrough

Ghana striker Jordan Ayew was on target in Leicester City’s draw against Middlesbrough in the English Championship on Tuesday.

Jordan Ayew scored from the penalty spot just on the stroke of half time at the King Power Stadium to help Leicester City claw an1-1 draw against Boro.

The veteran forward converted from the spot at the stroke of half time to end the Foxes back-to-back defeats in the league.

Leicester City began on a bright note with the former Premier League champions ending the half with a deserving lead through the Ghana captain.

However, an injury-time strike from defender Luke Ayling secured a valuable point for Middlesbrough at King Power.

Jordan Ayew has found his scoring boots

Ayew, who has come under heavy criticisms following Leicester’s poor start to the campaign, has now scored two goals in 13 games.

The draw has seen Leicester further drop on the table, falling to 13th with 18 points after 14 matches.

Meanwhile, his compatriot, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku lasted 85 minutes of the game and was replaced by Stephy Mavididi.

Both Fatawu Issahaku and Jordan Ayew played key roles in Ghana’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification to Canada, USA and Mexico.
