Jose Riveiro Al Ahly coach after 4-1 victory: “We won in our own way”

Al Ahly head coach Jose Riveiro expressed his happiness after his team’s 4-1 victory over Pharco in the second round of the Nile Egyptian League at Cairo International Stadium.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, Riveiro said according to Al Ahly’s official website:

“We controlled and dominated the match against Pharco, and the important thing is that we won in our own way and with our own style. I thank the players for their performance.”

He continued:

“We were affected in the second half due to fatigue, but overall, I am happy with our first league victory, and we aim for more wins.”

Jose Riveiro added that the win over Pharco gave everyone a huge boost, and that there is continuous improvement in the team after learning from the opening-round draw against Modern Sport.

He concluded by stressing that the improvement in the attacking phase comes from the many solutions the players have and their ability to create danger. He confirmed that the technical staff is working on selecting the right formation, and that the team is on the right path by achieving victories and making the fans happy.
