Josef Zinnbauer: JS Kabylie coach to stay put until end of the season

JS Kabylie coach Josef Zinnbauer is set to retain his post at the club despite rife reports of his departure in the past few days.

The Algerian outfit have endured a torrid time this campaign managing to win just 11 out of 27 games in all competitions this season.

Their poor run of form saw them finish last in their CAF Champions League group and they currently sit in 10th on the domestic top flight table with 23 points from 15 matches.

JS Kabylie finished bottom of their Group B

For a club that finished runners-up in last season’s Algerian top flight, Zinnbauer and his backroom staff were subjected to abuse from the fans after the team’s defeat and subsequent elimination from the CAF Champions League against Tanzania side, Young Africans.

The horrible results raised concerns about the technical direction of the German tactician with news of his departure reported in the Algerian media.

However, according to Shehab Press, JS Kabylie chairman Abel Boudja revealed that Zinnbauer would see out the current season with JS Kabylie until a substantive decision is reached.

JS Kabylie collected just three points from six matches, finishing bottom of Group B behind third place Young Africans [8 points], AS FAR second on nine points and group winner Al Ahly on 10 points.
