The midfielder will join the Moroccan club as a free agent following the expiration of his contract with AS Maniema Union of DR Congo. Bakasu is expected to officially sign his contract in the coming hours and will become Wydad AC’s fifth signing, joining Stéphane Aziz Ki, Nordin Amrabat, Hamza El Hanouri, and Bart Meijers, all recruited in recent weeks to strengthen the squad for the 2025 Club World Cup.
This season, Bakasu has played ten CAF Champions League matches and scored one goal for AS Maniema Union.
