Josephine Mathias to leave Nasarawa Amazons for Bnot Netanya

Nasarawa Amazons captain Josephine Mathias is reportedly set to join Israeli club Bnot Netanya.

This comes after the Nigeria women's national team midfielder was part of Nasarawa Amazons’ run to the final of the 2025 President Federation Cup before falling to a 2-4 penalty defeat to Rivers Angels on Saturday.

According to reports, Josephine has agreed to a move to Bnot Netanya. The 25 year old is one of the top stars in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) as she was named in the 2024/25 Team of the Season.

The midfielder has been capped twice at the international level by Nigeria. However, Josephine was excluded from the squad that will take part at the upcoming 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
