JS Kabylie sporting director Hakim Medane resigns after Setif defeat

JS Kabylie sporting director Hakim Medane has announced his resignation following the team’s 1-0 defeat away to ES Sétif in the 13th round of the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1. Speaking during the post-match press conference, he made his decision clear.

“I want to step down. We are struggling a lot to achieve good results, and I believe it is better to hand over responsibility to someone more competent,” Medane said.

The outgoing sporting director acknowledged the difficulty of the match against ES Sétif, stressing that change could be the right solution at this stage.

“It was a very tough game against ES Sétif. I think change might be better, so that someone else can lead the team back onto the right path,” he added.

Medane also spoke about the challenges currently facing the club, while reaffirming his loyalty to JS Kabylie.

“We are facing many difficulties, but I will always remain a loyal supporter of JS Kabylie and will continue to help the club whenever I am needed,” he stated.

He concluded by saying: “In football, individuals are not more important than the team. God willing, better times will come for JS Kabylie.”
