Brazilian winger Juan Alvina Bezerra expressed his happiness after making his first appearance for Zamalek in their goalless draw with Arab Contractors in the second round of the Nile Egyptian League.
The 22-year-old came on in the 59th minute to replace Palestinian forward Oday Dabbagh at Cairo International Stadium, marking his debut in the famous white shirt.
After the match, Juan Alvina shared his feelings on Instagram, writing:
“I’m so happy to be able to make my debut wearing this glorious jersey. I thank God for this moment in my life. The result wasn’t what we expected, but we’ll keep working for a future of achievements.”
The draw leaves Zamalek on four points, moving them into third place behind leaders Al Masry, who have six points, and Al Ahly, who also sit on four but with a better goal difference. Arab Contractors, meanwhile, picked up their first point of the season and remain 17th in the table.
