Pyramids FC coach: ‘An away draw is normal’

Croatian head coach Krunoslav Jurcic expressed his satisfaction with Pyramids FC’s goalless draw against RS Berkane of Morocco in their CAF Champions League group-stage encounter.

Pyramids held Berkane to a 0-0 draw in the third round of the group stage at the Municipal Stadium in Berkane, a result that saw the Egyptian side move to the top of the group standings with seven points.

Speaking during the post-match press conference, Jurcic explained: “I knew very well how difficult the match was and talked about it with his players, and an away draw is normal, and now we must think quickly about the fourth round match in Cairo.”

He pointed out that his team succeeded in making a strong start in the tournament, achieving two victories and a draw, and is currently at the top with seven points.

“I will seek to win the Berkane match in Cairo at the beginning of next month to secure a ticket to the next round and two rounds before the end of the group stage,” he added.

Jurcic praised the Pyramids players and their performance during the match, showing a good level and returning with a very important point in the journey to maintaining the continental title.
