Juventus enter race to sign Wilfred Ndidi

Juventus have entered the race to sign in-demand Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi. The Leicester City defensive midfielder is eyeing an exit from the relegated English side.

The Turin club hopes to add a defensive midfielder as they prepare to sell Brazilian international Douglas Luiz. According to Football Italia, Ndidi is not considered a direct replacement for Luiz and could be available for €9 million. With other Premier League clubs still in the race to sign the Super Eagles player, Juventus will face stiff competition.

Juventus have already inquired about Ndidi and have made a concrete move to bring the player to Italy. The 28-year-old has been with Leicester since 2017 and signed a contract extension through 2027 last season. Juventus management, led by Damien Comolli, appreciates the player and negotiations could begin if Ndidi gives the green light.

Ndidi made 30 appearances in all competitions this past season.
