“The President of Kabuscorp do Palanca, Bento dos Santos Kangamba, reports that on Tuesday morning, he received the resignation request submitted by coach Beto Bianchi, who for family reasons decided to step away from the technical command of the team,” reads the statement.
“The Club is deeply grateful to coach Beto Bianchi for his professionalism and dedication, as well as for winning the Angola Cup last season, a result that makes all members and supporters of Kabuscorp do Palanca proud.”
The Brazilian left his job with the club lying in ninth place with 23 points from 18 games, 23 points behind defending champions and leaders Petro de Luanda FC.
He presided over just five league wins with eight of the games being draws and the rest defeats.
Two days later, Kabuscorp SCP moved in swiftly to announce the hiring of Brazilian Leonardo Neiva (Léo Neiva) as the new man in charge.
In a statement, the Girabola team said the 48-year-old new coach had signed a two-year contract.
“Leo Neiva possesses extensive experience in African football having already coached Gor Mahia FC of Kenya in 2024 Uganda Vipers SC in 2023 Al Merrikh SC of Sudan in 2021/2022, Young Africans SC of Tanzania in 2013 and Platinum Stars FC and Royal Bafokeng (Youth) of South Africa 2008/2009 season,” reads part of the statement.
Neiva also draws experience from the coaching spells he had in Europe with clubs such as FC Oliveira Hospital de Portugal. He also managed Asian clubs like Chanthaburi FC and Thai Honda FC.
Kabuscorp SCP are one of the highly fancied teams in Angolan football. More recently, they ended Kaizer Chiefs’ unbeaten record against Angolan clubs in interclub competitions after defeating the South Africans 1-0 in the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round tie in September 2025.
