For the second year in a row, Kaizer Chiefs will conduct their pre-season training outside of South Africa, with the club confirming a trip to the Netherlands from July 3rd to 19th.

This move follows last season's pre-season in Turkey, which saw new signings integrate with the squad only upon their return to South Africa – a logistical challenge the club aims to avoid this time around.

Plans are reportedly underway to ensure new recruits join the Soweto giants earlier in the pre-season, with Spain and the Netherlands being key considerations before the latter was ultimately selected.

"South Africa ✈ Netherlands. Our pre-season tour will be in the Netherlands," said Chiefs in a social media post.

Amakhosi have already begun trimming their squad, with Sabelo Radebe and Ranga Chivaviro parting ways with the club as their contracts expire at the end of June. Additionally, Njabulo Blom has returned to his parent club, St. Louis City SC, in the United States.

During their time in the Netherlands, Kaizer Chiefs are expected to play friendly matches against local clubs as part of their preparations for the upcoming season.

Despite an indifferent 2024/25 Betway Premiership campaign that saw them finish ninth, head coach Nasreddine Nabi remains at the helm with his technical team. Their tenure was salvaged by a significant achievement: ending the club's decade-long trophy drought with a Nedbank Cup triumph
