Chiefs injury boost: Dortley and Msimango return timelines confirmed

Kaizer Chiefs fans have received welcome news regarding two key defenders currently sidelined with injury, Rushwin Dortley and Given Msimango.

Speaking after Amakhosi’s recent 1-0 victory against Durban City FC in the Betway Premiership on Friday,co-coach Khalil Ben Youssef provided a clear update on when the duo can be expected back in action.

The Road to Recovery For Chiefs Duo

Ben Youssef confirmed that Rushwin Dortley, who has been out since undergoing knee surgery in March, is nearing the final stage of his recovery.

“About Dortley, he will be back with us in two weeks to start training,” the Tunisian coach revealed. This timeline suggests the young defender will soon rejoin the main squad for full training drills.

Meanwhile, Given Msimango’s return is even closer. The assistant coach stated that Msimango is already back in training with the team. His return to competitive play now hinges only on building match fitness.

“But Given is part of the team, he is ready. It’s just about his fitness now, and he will be ready; we will introduce him,” Ben Youssef confirmed.

Their eventual return will intensify the competition for places in the Chiefs’ backline, which currently features players like Zitha Kwinika, Inacio Miguel, and Aden McCarthy.
