Kaizer Chiefs reserve team defender Bobo Sima has joined Mochudi Centre Chiefs in Botswana on a season-long loan.
The signing of the South Africa in the neighbouring country is hardly surprising.
Amakhosi legend Stanton Fredericks owns the team which campaigns in the FNB Premiership.
In a statement, Mochudi Centre Chiefs confirm the recruitment of the youngster.
“The highly-rated 20-year-old brings youthful energy, discipline and strong defensive potential as he looks to continue his development and contribute to the team’s success,” reads the statement.
Fredericks owns Centre Chiefs FC through his consortium, Stanton Fredericks Sports Group, which signed a 15-year management contract.
Last week, Fredericks hired highly-rated Spaniard Miguel Corral Torreria as the coach for Centre Chiefs.
Torreria will lead a newly-constructed coaching panel which includes former Orlando Pirates reserves’ goalkeeper coach Aubrey Vilakazi and Shagwa Mogwe, the Fitness, Strength and Conditioning coach.
On the playing personnel, the four-time FNB Premiership champions have signed former SuperSport United forward Evans Rusike to add firepower upfront.
Centre Chiefs lie in fifth place with 24 points, eight behind league leaders Gaborone United.
