Dutch Eredivisie club NAC Breda have signed Ghana midfielder Kamal Sowah before transfer deadline day.

The 25-year-old former Leicester City player has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal to join NAC Breda in the winter transfer window after ending his stay with Belgium side Club Brugge.

He returns to the Eredivisie after spending time on loan at AZ Alkmaar while on the books of Belgian giants Brugge. Sowah recently terminated his contract with the former Belgium champions and moves to NAC as a free agent.

"Kamal has a dynamic attacking profile and can play in multiple positions. He is also strong in his defensive work and fits in well with this NAC with his aggressive style," said Technical Director Peter Maas.

"Kamal is indeed quite fit, but because he has not played for a while, he will first receive extra training. The focus at NAC this season is absolutely on maintaining his position in the Eredivisie, but with Kamal's arrival we are also already selecting for next season."

The Right to Dream Academy graduate reunites with former manager Carl Hoefkens, who he played under at OH Leuven and Club Brugge.
