Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa and Shehu Abdullahi headline the list of players retained by Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side, Kano Pillars, for the upcoming 2025-26 season.
Kano Pillars made the announcement in a statement on Saturday. Ageless goal scorer Rabiu Ali is also expected to continue with the four-time NPFL champions.

Other retained players include Muttaka Musa, Abdullahi Abubakar, Fahad Usman, Dawud Ibrahim, Abdullahi Ali, Yusuf Bala Maigoro, Naziru Auwalu Ibrahim, Aminu Adam Sani, Habibu Yakubu, Mustapha Umar, and Ibrahim Sani Halliru.
Also listed are goalkeeper Jerry Alex, Umar Sani Yakasai, Auwal Ali Malam, Imran Ahmad, Sudais Ali Baba, Zaharadeen Bello, Shehu Abdullahi, Yusuf Abdullahi, Bright Emmanuel, Ibrahim Inuwa, and Mubarak Lawal.
The retained players are expected to report for the first training session at the club’s training ground in Kano next week.
Kano Pillars are currently in search of a new coach following the resignation of Usman Abdallah as the club’s technical adviser. The club finished ninth last season on the NPFL log.
