Ilan Kebbal and Jean-Philippe Krasso scored as Paris FC moved into the top half of the French Ligue 1 table with a 2-0 victory over Lorient on Friday evening.
Nigeria national team winger Moses Simon played his part as well. An excellent first half saw Paris FC jump out to a 2-0 lead through the first thirty minutes. The hosts’ advantage was doubled in the 30th minute when Simon crossed to find Ivory Coast forward Krasso for a sharp finish at the near post.
Krasso was involved in the opening goal as well, which was scored by Kebbal who is the reigning Ligue 1 Player of the Month. The 27-year-old celebrated his call to the Algeria national team by latching on to a Krasso pass, which opened up a shooting opportunity for Kebbal to place his effort past Lorient goalkeeper Yvon Mvogo.
Kebbal has an opportunity to make his Algeria debut during the upcoming FIFA window and Friday’s goal will only add to his confidence. He now has 4 goals and 2 assists in 7 matches so far this season.
Krasso is still finding his stride in France’s top flight. A well known assassin from his time in Ligue 2 with Paris FC and Saint-Étienne, Friday’s goal was his second in two matches and he also provided his first assist of the season. Newly-promoted Paris FC now sit in 8th place on the Ligue 1 table with 10 points from 7 matches.
