Kenya national team Harambee Stars midfielder Wilson Stanley Omondi has left AIK and joined Swedish third-tier side Enköpings SK on loan until the end of the 2025 season.
The midfielder, who joined AIK in the summer of 2024, will continue sharpening his skills away on loan, with his contract at AIK valid until December 31, 2027.
“This loan benefits everyone,” said AIK’s head of recruitment, Fredrik Wisur Hansen. “Stanley will develop, Enköpings will get a player who can make a difference, and we will welcome back a more experienced player ready to fight for a starting spot in 2026.”
Enköpings sporting director Pelle Johansson welcomed the move as he said; “We’re delighted to have Stanley join us this autumn. He will help boost our survival hopes in Ettan and will flourish playing senior football.”
Speaking after his move, Wilson expressed excitement about the opportunity.
“I am very happy to be here,” he said. “It feels like a good place for me to develop. I have got a very good impression of the club. My hope is to perform well and return to AIK stronger next season. That is my goal.”
A devoted Arsenal fan, he dreams of one day playing for the Premier League giants. “Yes, that would be something special,” he admitted. “But for that to happen, I must first perform well here and later with AIK.”
