Botswana’s Sua Flamingoes FC have signed 2016 Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League’s Most Valuable Player Kenneth Muguna.
In a statement, the FNB Premiership side confirms the arrival of the towering 29-year-old midfielder from the Botswana league opponents Township Rollers FC.
“Sua Flamingoes FC is delighted to announce the arrival of Kenyan midfielder Kenneth Muguna. He joins on a one-year, six-month deal,” reads the club’s statement.
The Kenyan international is expected to enhance Sua Flamingoes’ title. They lie fourth in the standings, 12 points behind leaders Gaborone United.
The Harambee Stars player has switched camps in Botswana have first joined Township Rollers on two-year contract last year. However, the blue and yellow are in serious financial problems leading to the departure of some key players.
Muguna won the FKF Premier League title with Kenya Police FC in the 2023-2024 season. He eventually sought greener pastures in the Southern African nation after being offloaded by the 2025 CAF Champions League participants alongside Jesse Were and Duncan Otieno in July 2025.
The midfielder also had stints in Europe where he was on the books of Albanian top-flight side KF Tirana. He also spent time with Azam FC in Tanzania.
