Kenya Police Bullets crowned FKF Women Premier League champions in dominant style

Kenya Police Bullets FC delivered a resounding statement of dominance as they thrashed Trinity Starlets FC 4-0 in a thrilling finale to be crowned the 2024/25 FKF Women’s Premier League champions at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru, on Sunday.

The emphatic win not only sealed the league title but also marked a double triumph for the Police this season. The match began with high intensity, with Police Bullets FC asserting their authority early on.

Within the first 30 minutes, the visitors found the back of the net three times only to have all three goals ruled out for offside. It was a frustrating opening stretch, but the relentless attacking pressure would soon pay off.

In the 40th minute, Police finally broke the deadlock. A brilliant combination play saw jersey number Becky Okwaro provide a precise assist to Morang'a, who made no mistake slotting in the opening goal. The breakthrough energized the team heading into the second half.

The second half saw Police Bullets tighten their grip on the game. In the 55th minute, star forward Becky Okwaro doubled the lead with a clinical finish. Just two minutes later, Trinity Starlets made their first substitution in a bid to regain control, but it did little to slow down the Bullet’s momentum.

In the 69th minute, Police FC found their third goal, further extending their advantage and crushing Trinity's hopes of a comeback. A tactical change came in the 76th minute with Police making their first substitution, a move that ensured fresh legs maintained the tempo.

On the 84th minute, Okwaro was at it again, completing her hat-trick and sealing a 4-0 defeat. A second substitution followed swiftly in the 86th minute as the champions closed out the match in style.

Okwaro’s hat-trick performance was the highlight of the match, earning her the top scorer accolade for the day. Her impeccable form and link-up play were instrumental in Police FC’s triumphant campaign.

With this commanding victory, Kenya Police Bullets not only claimed the FKF Women’s Premier League title but also completed a historic double, affirming their place at the pinnacle of Kenyan Women's Football.
