Kenya President William Samoei Ruto has promised the Harambee Stars KSh60million if they reach the quarterfinal, Sh70million if they reach the semifinal, and Sh600 million if they win the Africa Nations Championships (CHAN) at first attempt on home soil.

Each Harambee Stars player will also receive KSh1 million for every win and KSh500, 000 for every draw. The Football Kenya Federation have extended their sincere gratitude to President Ruto for taking time to visit the Harambee Stars camp ahead of their CHAN opener.

“His presence, alongside Sports Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya, Principal Secretary Elijah Mwangi, and other senior officials, was a strong show of support and encouragement to the team,” read a statement from FKF obtained by Pan-Africa Football.

“We remain committed to working closely with the government to elevate Kenyan football and wish the team the very best as they represent the country.”

Harambee Stars are now fully focused on their opening match against DR Congo on August 3 at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani. Kenya will also face Angola, Morocco, and Zambia in Group A, with the support of the home crowd expected to play a big role in their debut CHAN campaign.
