Kenyan side Tusker FC unveil two signings on transfer deadline day

Kenyan Premier League club Tusker FC completed deadline day acquisitions of forward Cliff Oruko and midfielder Ronny Otieno, strengthening the squad ahead of the new campaign.

The two players, both highly regarded for their skill, energy and commitment, joined the Brewers to provide added depth and competition across the attacking and midfield departments, and they both penned one-year contracts with the club.

Tusker coach Charles Okere welcomed the duo, saying: “We are very pleased to have secured Cliff and Ronny before the close of the window. They are exciting, hungry players who bring the right attitude and quality to our squad. We believe they will quickly adapt to our system and make a big impact for us this season.”

He added: “We have been looking to strengthen our wide areas and the two will bring in a lot of energy and competition. Cliff is a player who can also play as a leftback so that gives us additional cover and options.”

Meanwhile, Tusker Chief Executive Officer Sam Nzau added: “These signings are a clear statement of intent from the club. As Tusker, we are always looking to strengthen with players who can help us achieve our goals. We are confident Cliff and Ronny will wear the badge with pride and give their all for the team.”

The duo have already joined up the team in training, and will be part of the full squad headed to Kisumu for pre-season training.
