Kessié and Bonsu Baah star in Saudi Pro League as Al Ahli and Al Qadsiah secure major victories

African talents once again made decisive impacts in the Saudi Pro League, with Ivorian midfielder Franck Kessié and Ghanaian winger Christopher Bonsu Baah starring for their respective clubs in crucial victories.

Al Ahli Saudi FC produced a dominant 4-0 victory over Al Okhdood Club, with Franck Kessié delivering a sensational brace.

Kessié first found the net in the 36th minute with a strike from inside the penalty area before adding his second in the 43rd minute, rising well to score with a header following an aerial duel with the goalkeeper.

The other Al Ahli goals came from:

  • Valentin Atangana Edoa – 26’
  • Firas Al-Buraikan – 72’

Meanwhile, Al Qadsiah FC stunned league leaders Al Nassr FC with an impressive 3-1 victory.

Christopher Baah played a vital creative role, providing the assist for Al Qadsiah’s opening goal in the 24th minute with a dangerous cross that was converted by Mohammed Abu Al-Shamat. The Ghanaian is now tied for second in the league in assists with eleven total, accumulating three in his last two games.

Al Qadsiah’s additional goals were scored by:

  • Musab Al Juwayr – 55’
  • Julián Quiñones – 78’

For Al Nassr, João Félix scored their only goal in the 39th minute.
