The decision was communicated through the club’s Disciplinary Committee, which also sanctioned goalkeeper Amas Obasogie.
In an official statement, the club confirmed that Aucho had been found guilty of unprofessional behavior and would serve a three-month suspension.
Obasogie, on the other hand, was suspended for the same duration pending investigations into alleged match-fixing. The club further reminded all players and staff to uphold discipline, responsibility, and respect.
Reacting to the development, Aucho defended his record and professionalism, insisting the allegations do not reflect his character.
“I have always carried myself with professionalism throughout my career, representing every club with respect and discipline,” Aucho said.
He added, “In all my years in football, I have never been involved in any case of indiscipline because I understand the responsibility that comes with being a professional player.”
The experienced midfielder also sent a message of reassurance to his supporters, expressing confidence that the situation would be resolved.
“To my beloved fans who have always stood by me, this situation will come to pass. Thank you for your continued support,” Aucho stated via his social media platforms.
