Kibu Denis: Al Nasr secure services of ex-Simba SC star

After terminating his contract with Simba SC, Tanzania international Kibu Dennis has officially signed for Libyan outfit Al Nasr.

Kibu Denis officially left the Mainland Tanzania Premier League club after serving for four and a half seasons. The club confirmed the completion of the player’s sale to a foreign club, thus ending his journey with the Reds of Msimbazi.

Kibu joined Simba from Mbeya City

Al Nasr have confirmed the acquisition of the player, who also features for national team Taifa Stars, and will wear jersey number 10.

“Welcome home Kibu Denis,” said a message on their social media pages.

Kibu joined Simba from Mbeya City, where he quickly made a name for himself due to his ability to play with strength, speed and dedication.

During his time with the club, he was among the forwards who were relied upon, making a major contribution through goals and final passes, especially in big Premier League games, derbies and international competitions.

Kibu has re-united with Steven Mukwala

Despite facing challenges and times of criticism, Kibu continued to show discipline and dedication, which made him continue to be trusted by different coaches who have been with the club. His struggles on the field raised his status and earned him respect among Simba SC fans.

So far this season, Kibu scored two goals for the club, both of which were registered in the CAF Champions League. He found the back of the net during the first-round encounter against Eswatini side Nsingizini Hotspurs, a match Simba won convincingly 3-0.

Those goals proved vital in helping the Tanzanian champions progress in the competition.

Kibu has reunited with two familiar faces at Al Nasr – midfielder Fabrice Ngoma and striker Steven Mukwala.
