Zambia international Kings Kangwa scored and provided an assist as Hapoel Be’er Sheva secured a 2-0 win against Maccabi Bnei Reineh in an Israeli Premier League fixture on Saturday.
The Chipopolo forward kept his role in the starting XI as the table leaders went into the fixture seeking to extend their lead. Kangwa should have opened the scores in the 12th minute but his rising effort went inches wide.
After the missed opportunity, Hapoel Be’er Sheva took the lead in the 24th minute. A cross from Kangwa found the unmarked Mohammed Kna’an, who slotted it home.

Kangwa’s side went into the half-time break with a 1-0 lead but the scoreline should have been bigger had they used the chances created. At the start of the second period, Kangwa once again hit the crossbar from a corner.
But Kangwa finally found the target in the 65th minute. A dangerous cross from Ofir Davidzada found Kangwa, who hit the back of the net. Kangwa has so far scored six goals and provided two assists for his club, who are top of the Israeli Premier League.
Amir Chaim Ganah found the back of the net for Hapoel Be’er Sheva in the 80th minute but his effort was ruled out for offside. Emmanuel Banda another Zambia midfielder played the full ninety minutes for the losing side.
The win enabled Hapoel Be’er Sheva to reach 48 points from 21 matches. They have won 15 matches, drawn three, and lost three.
