Kingstone Mutandwa discusses Zambia mood ahead of Argentina test

Zambia international Kingstone Mutandwa has revealed their discussions in camp in as they prepare to face Argentina in a high-profile friendly at La Bombonera Stadium in Buenos Aires on Tuesday.

Mutandwa who is back in the squad after a lengthy absence, said the players have already begun studying their opponents.

The SV Ried striker noted that watching Argentina’s friendly against Mauritania on Friday last week has given the team a clearer picture of what to expect.

The Copper Bullets will be looking to put in a disciplined and competitive performance when they face the world champions on Tuesday.

‘Our main focus is discussing on the game’

“The team is recovering as well. The weather is good, so we are really recovering. Of course, our main focus is on discussing the game,” Mutandwa told FAZ Media as quoted by Bola News.

“We watched the match Argentina versus Mauritania. It was really a good game, an interesting game to watch, so of course we are discussing how we are going to play so far.

“Of course, Argentina can say they do a lot of tactics. A tactical team. They don’t run, of course. They have many old players, so as for us, I think we just need to adapt to any tactic that they use.”

Mutandwa concluded: They will change a lot of things. To see the game that they played yesterday, of course they will have a different tactic against us.”

Forward Chanka Zimba, who has been handed his first Chipolopolo call-up, says he has settled in well and credits his teammates for making his arrival smooth. Chanka added that the mood in camp is positive, with everyone fully aware of the big challenge ahead.
