Egyptian striker Ahmed Hassan Kouka netted his first goal in the Saudi Pro League, but it was not enough to prevent Al Ettifaq from suffering a 3–1 defeat away to Al Hazem on Friday in Matchday 24 action.
Al Ettifaq made a perfect start to the evening, taking the lead in the 9th minute. A shot from Radi Al Otaibi was parried by the goalkeeper, and Kouka reacted well to slot home the rebound, giving the visitors an early 1–0 advantage and marking his first league goal of the campaign.

The match witnessed drama just minutes later. In the 15th minute, defender Abdulbasit Hindi was shown a red card, forcing Al Ettifaq to play with ten men for more than 75 minutes.
Al Hazem’s Yousef Al-Shammari equalized from the penalty spot, restoring parity for the hosts.
Before halftime, Fabio Martins completed the turnaround, scoring in the 43rd minute to give Al Hazem a 2–1 lead heading into the break.
Kouka was substituted in the 60th minute, then Al Hazem added a third goal in the 82nd minute through Aboubacar Bah, putting the result beyond doubt.
With the victory, Al Hazem move up to 28 points in 10th place in the league standings. Meanwhile, Al Ettifaq remain on 38 points in seventh place.
Despite the defeat, Kouka’s goal could serve as a confidence boost for the Egyptian forward in the remaining fixtures of the season.
