West Ham United put an end to a miserable run of form on Sunday with Mohammed Kudus and Aaron Wan-Bissaka providing assists in a 2-0 Premier League victory at Manchester United.
Wan-Bissaka, set to make his debut for the DR Congo national team in the upcoming international window after switching allegiance from England, started the movement that led to West Ham's opener in the 26th minute. Bissaka cut inside from the left wing and played a pass to find the run of Kudus, who hit a firm cross to find Tomáš Souček for the finish and the Ghanaian's third assist in league play to go with four goals.
Close to the hour mark, Wan-Bissaka received credit for his fourth assist in Premier League play and his second in two matches. The 27-year-old right back was in an advanced position to win the ball and the visitors broke out in transition before Wan-Bissaka's cross found Jarrod Bowen for a first-time strike. West Ham snapped an eight-match winless streak with Sunday's victory.
Elsewhere on Sunday, Crystal Palace defeated fellow London side Tottenham Hotspur with a dominant 2-0 victory at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Eberechi Eze opened the scoring just before halftime and then completed his brace with the aid of Ismaïla Sarr soon after the interval.
Eze drove through the midfield on a counter-attack and played the Senegal national team winger into space on the right wing, who returned the ball with a low cross for Eze to strike his second goal of the match. Sarr continues to enjoy a strong first season with Palace, contributing 7 goals and 5 assists in 36 matches.
