NPFL: Kun Khalifat appoints Ekpemandu Chijioke as new manager

Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Kun Khalifat FC has announced the appointment of Ekpemandu Christopher Chijioke as the club’s new team manager.

This announcement was made via the clubs social media handle on Tuesday.

Ekpemandu takes over from former Enyimba and Remo Stars defender Ifeanyi Anaemena, who recently vacated the post following a difficult campaign.

​Strategic overhaul aimed at NPFL survival

​Kun Khalifat has been looking to reset its internal structure and improve on-field performances, making Ekpemandu’s appointment a central part of that overhaul.

​The Owerri-based side currently occupies 18th position on the NPFL table, with 28 points from 27 matches. Kun Khalifat FC is set to face Enyimba in a highly anticipated Oriental Derby this weekend.

With only 11 games left and the relegation battle extending into the mid-table, Kun Khalifat must embark on a perfect run to avoid being one of the four teams relegated to the Nigeria National League (NNL).
