Kun Khalifat ready to fight to remain in top-flight League

Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) debutants Kun Khalifat FC have reiterated their determination to fight for their status to remain at the top flight League at the end of the 2025–26 season.

The Owerri-based club secured a historic victory against Enyimba to end nine-time NPFL champions Unbeaten run.

However, on their X handle (formerly Twitter) Kun Khalifat stated that the team would not be carried away by the result of that encounter.

“We are not feeling comfortable anytime soon! We are not thinking we have arrived. It’s not yet UHURU. We pray to finish the season the same way we planned by approaching every game like finals.

“We are still in line with the promise we made to IMOLITES and our dear FANS.”

Kun Khalifat have collected eight points from eight matches so far this season. They will face Bayelsa United in a matchday nine fixture at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa on Sunday.
