Chippa United and Bafana Bafana attacker Sinoxolo Kwayiba has opened up about his anticipated transfer to one of South African football's 'big three' clubs – Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates, or Mamelodi Sundowns – for the 2024/25 PSL season.

While remaining tight-lipped on the specific destination, reports indicate that Kwayiba is set to join Orlando Pirates.

Kwayiba spoke in a post-match interview after showcasing his attacking prowess, earning the Man-of-the-Match award in Bafana Bafana's 2-0 win over Mozambique in an international friendly at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium on Tuesday night.

The talented midfielder scored Bafana's opening goal in the 47th minute, his first for the national team, with Stellenbosch FC striker Ashley Cupido netting the second.

The 25-year-old, who joined Chippa at the start of the 2023/24 season from Motsepe Foundation Championship side Pretoria Callies, has been a consistent performer for the Chilli Boys. In his two seasons with the Eastern Cape-based outfit, Kwayiba has featured in 43 games across all competitions, bagging 11 goals and providing two assists.

After proving his attacking qualities, Kwayiba has attracted significant interest, with reports stating that he has already penned a deal to join Pirates for the upcoming campaign.

The versatile player confirmed that a big move is on the horizon. “Let’s hope that I’ll join a big club. I have been praying and am happy with my performance for Bafana Bafana,” Kwayiba said.

“I want to do more, and I hope the move is going to happen. So I’m hoping to play for a big team and then move overseas. That’s my dream, and it’s going to happen. I won’t mention any name of the team for now, but I want to play for one of the big three."
