Heart of Lions head coach Bashir Hayford has expressed concern over his strikers’ lack of scoring abilities, as they have failed to score in their last two matches.
Heart of Lions have conceded three goals in their last two meetings with Hearts of Oak, in the Homowo Charity Cup [2-0] and the opener of the GHALCA Top Four [1-0].
The club will face Asante Kotoko in the second game of the GHALCA Top Four on Friday at the Legon Sports Stadium, and Bashir Hayford hopes his attackers will find their scoring boots.
“That has been our problem all this while [and] I have seen a lot from the two games [and] we are just preparing for the season, so the team has not gelled yet,” Bashir Hayford said.
“We are preparing for the league, and all these games are preparatory games for the league, and it’s good for us.” He added.
Heart of Lions finished second in last season’s Ghana Premier League, and they will look to replicate a similar feat or go a notch higher by winning the title.
