Lawrence Ouma: Kenya U20 striker leaves Michael Olunga’s MOFA for Finnish side SJK Seinäjoki

Kenya U20 national team striker Lawrence Ouma has officially signed with Finnish top-tier side SJK Seinäjoki from the Michael Olunga Football Academy (MOFA), the academy has confirmed.

Ouma already made history as the first Kenyan to score at the U20 AFCON, netting a stunning header against Morocco — and now he’s set to shine in Europe.

From MOFA to the World

MOFA have confirmed the exit of the player by saying: “We’re proud to announce that Lawrence “Lawi” Okoth has completed a move to Finnish top-flight side SJK Seinäjoki.

“A native of Sikri, Homa Bay County, and a true pioneer of the MOFA vision, Lawi embodies what we stand for, holistic growth through sport, education, and character. Special appreciation to Hodari Talent Management for their instrumental role in making this move a reality.

“As Lawi embarks on this exciting new chapter in his career, we wish him every success.”
