Betway Premiership side Sekhukhune United have strengthened their front line with the acquisition of highly-rated attacker Lehlohonolo Mojela from Stellenbosch FC.
The 29-year-old forward joins Babina Noko ahead of the second round of the 2025/26 season, marking a significant return to his home province of Limpopo. Mojela, affectionately known as ‘Jealous’, arrives at Sekhukhune looking for a fresh start after a tumultuous period in the Cape Winelands.
Mojela’s stint with Stellenbosch FC began in spectacular fashion. After joining the club in June 2024, the Mokopane-born striker took the league by storm, netting six goals in his opening 10 matches. However, his rapid ascent was cruelly interrupted by a severe knee injury that sidelined him for the remainder of that season and a significant portion of the current campaign.
Since his return to fitness, Mojela has struggled to rediscover the clinical form that made him one of the most feared attackers in the Premiership.

The move comes after Mojela and teammate Lesiba Nku were reportedly sidelined from the Stellenbosch first team in November and advised to seek new opportunities. Sekhukhune United moved swiftly to secure his signature, betting on the striker’s ability to regain his goal-scoring touch under a new tactical setup.
In an official statement welcoming the player on Wednesday, the club said: “Sekhukhune United confirms the signing of Lehlohonolo Bradley Mojela from Stellenbosch FC. The 29-year-old’s roots are in Mokopane, Limpopo. Welcome to the Babina Noko Family, ‘Jealous’.”
As the Premiership enters its business end, Sekhukhune will hope that Lehlohonolo Mojela’s homecoming provides the spark needed to propel the team up the standings.
