RC Lens have completed the signing of Senegal striker Abdallah Sima from Brighton. The northern French club paid €5.2 million to secure Sima’s services.
Sima, 24, never made an appearance for the English side after joining them in 2021. He had multiple loan spells before signing a four-year deal with Lens. The forward spent time on loan at Rangers, Stoke City, Angers, and Brest. Last season at Brest, he scored 12 goals in all competitions.
Lens had been searching for a centre-forward ahead of the 2025/26 season. The signing of Sima is expected to end their pursuit of Mali striker Lassine Sinayoko. The Red and Gold had agreed terms with Auxerre for Sinayoko’s transfer, but the move ultimately collapsed.
Abdallah Sima has been a Senegal international since 2021. However, he was left out of the Lions of Teranga squad by head coach Pape Thiaw for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup African zone qualifier matches against Sudan and DR Congo.
