The Competitions Committee of the Libyan Football Federation (LFF) has reaffirmed its previously announced schedule for the remaining fixtures of the Libyan Cup and the kickoff date of the Libyan Premier League for the upcoming 2025–2026 season, known locally as “Dawrina.”
During a press conference held on Thursday, the committee confirmed that the new Premier League season will begin on October 31.
The committee also announced that league fixtures will continue throughout the holy month of Ramadan without interruption.
The Libyan Cup semifinals will be played on October 30, while the 2025–2026 edition of the Libya Cup will feature only Premier League clubs, due to the tight competition calendar for next season.
The head of the Competitions Committee clarified that the upcoming Premier League campaign will include 32 participating teams, dismissing recent rumors about the addition of new clubs. He stressed that no official decision on expanding the league has been received from the LFF board.
Finally, the committee confirmed that May 31, 2026, has been set as the final date for the conclusion of all competitions in the 2025–2026 football season.
